UPPER PAY SPINE PROGRESSION

Teachers eligible for progression should have been notified by December 2004 at the latest whether they were to be placed on the next spine point. Recently I have become aware that some members have still not been notified of this. Teachers do not need to apply or provide evidence for progression, nor should they be subject to additional classroom observations. Head teachers and Governors have a statutory duty to review pay and notify teachers on or soon after September 1st each year.
