CRB Checks For Supply Teachers

The LA has notified supply teachers of the need to have an annual CRB check if they wish to continue to do supply work. They have also been asked to pay for this check themselves and to pay an additional administration fee. The NUT is totally against individual teachers being required to pay for their own CRB check and is taking part in negotiations with the LA on this issue. Whilst negotiations are ongoing there should be no change to the conditions of service of supply teachers in Bucks. The NUT cannot guarantee the outcome of discussions but will strive to protect the interests of supply members.
